James E. Murphy, Jr.- Owner
Jim entered the Real Estate business in 1987, after graduating from Boston College with a degree in philosophy. Taking over the 40 year old family business in 2007, Jim was mentored in those 20 years by one of the Cape's most respected Brokers, his father, from whom he learned the commercial side of the business.
Jim is excited about taking the company to the next level by infusing new ideas, technological enhancements, and customized service. As a Cape native, BC Graduate, and established real estate professional, Jim's clients benefit most from his vast network of contacts, and intimate knowledge of the residential and commercial marketplaces.
Jim is involved with a variety of local organizations including Barnstable Youth Football, Little League, Youth Hockey, Our Lady of Victory Parish, and is a member of the Oyster Harbors Club. Jim lives in Osterville with his wife, Gretchen, and their 3 children.
Elizabeth "Beth" Murphy Talerman- Sales Agent
Beth, the third of James E. Murphy, Sr.'s children, has grown up in the real estate business. She grew up on Cape Cod, attended Barnstable High School and graduated from Amherst College with a B.A. in Economics. Beth has had her real estate license since she was 18 years old and has actively sold real estate for the past 15 years. Whether acting as a Buyer's Agent to find her clients their "perfect home" or working with Seller's to sell their homes, Beth's priorities are to help customers and clients meet their needs and promote smooth transactions while upholding the great reputation James E. Murphy, Sr has built over the last 40 years.
Cornelius J.J. "Neal" Madera- Broker
Neal has been in the real estate business for over 30 years. With degrees from Brown, M.I.T. (Architecture and Land Use Planning) and a law degree from Boston University, he brings a wide range of experience in residential and commercial real estate, construction, finance and law. Formerly a resident of Tuxedo Park, NY, where he was Mayor for 10 years, he resides in Osterville with his wife, Marjorie.
Linda Sheehan- Sales Agent/ Office Administrator
Linda moved to the Cape with her family in 1973. She attended Barnstable Schools and graduated from Barnstable High School in 1981. After working in the service industry for 25 years, she received her real estate license in 2003. She uses her vast experience in customer service to assist her clients with their real estate needs. She lives in Marstons Mills with her 2 children.
Gina F. Wood- Sales Agent
Formerly of Natick, Gina moved full time to the Cape in 1996. She received a degree in Marketing from the Univeristy of Massachusetts- Amherst. Following graduation, she worked as the Event Coordinator for the City of Boston. She has been in the real estate business on Cape Cod for over 12 years. With exceptional design talent, Gina is also known for her staging expertise and collaboration on interior space formation, be it to houses, condominiums, offices or luxury yachts. She lives in Centerville with her husband, Dan and their two children.
Mark Weller- Sales Agent
Mark has lived on the Cape for 40 years and has been working in real estate for James E. Murphy for the past 20 years. He has volunteered at a number of the local high schools as an assistant varsity hockey coach, while continuing to play in various men's leagues. Phil Ballou- Sales Agent
Phil has a business degree from the University of Miami, served as a pilot in the USMC and moved to Cape Cod in 1983 after completing his active duty tour with the Marine Corp. He has been in the real estate business since 2003. He lives with his wife and two children in Marstons Mills.
